We finally got a break from the three digit temps, but we haven't gotten below 90's yet in the heat of the day. We are in stage 4 drought conditions. So, Eddie, even though I would LOVE to have some good 'ol Kentucky soil, it still would be hard to keep things growing if we only are allowed to water twice a week! A little bit south of me in Austin, they actually have people going around and fining residents if they water on the wrong day or time!
With the start of school, summer is officially over for my family. We went up to the Dallas/Ft.Worth the weekend my son caught a ride back to college in AZ. It was great since my sister's family and my parents were able to meet us there.
Hey Rob, I can honestly say I've not really grown up! I've only got two kids that are shorter than I am! They are my 6yo and 8yo!:)
Ya'll take care and have a great Labor Day weekend! Don't work too hard and enjoy the lush green KY landscape!

My mother told me that Carol Montgomery lost her sister to cancer last week. Carol's mailing address in on her profile if you would like to send her a sympathy card or just a thinking of you card. I'm sure she would really like to hear from us. My thoughts and prayers go out to her.

I am with Sharon, where has the year gone? My life just won't slow down. Really busy at work and I am always volunteering for everything. I need to learn to say NO! Sorry I didn't make it to the meeting spot at the Homecoming. My daughter and I had a jewelry booth and we got really busy right after the parade. Our booth was suppose to be right where I ask everyone to meet but they changed me. I did hear that several of us were there. I missed Cindy, Mark Armstrong, and Rickey Ryan but I did see Eddie,Rita Goodwin and Rita Sharp, Dewayne, Marsha, Sandy and Denny.....gosh, I am gettng so old I can't even remember who I saw.
Hope all is well.

Dear Lord,
In the new year, we pray
that You will guide us each new day
in paths that are pleasing to You. And Dear
Lord, the new year gives us another chance
to rededicate our lives to You,
to study Your Word
so that we may know right from wrong
and to act in accordance with Your commands.
Thank You Lord for the sense of
direction, purpose and peace we get
from aligning our lives with Your Holy will.
We pray Dear Lord for the strength and the will to obey
you each and every day of the new year,
and when we fail, we pray for Your mercy,
Your compassion, Your grace and Your love.
Help us in the new year and always to be Your faithful servants.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

You alone, Lord Jesus, can true joy impart,
For You know the sorrow of the human heart;
You came here from glory many hearts to win
And in love for sinners suffered once for sin.
Hope all is well with every one and hope to hear how some of you all coming alone. God bless each and every one of you and your family as well. This is a good site for us to used and as you can see i used it,if it's only for me to used it for the Lord words than i will do his work for Him, but God know some body might just need it today.

We need to set aside the time
To read God’s Word and pray,
And listen for the Spirit’s voice
To guide us in His way.
Time spent with God is time well spent.......

Tomorrow’s plans I do not know,
I only know this minute;
But He will say, “This is the way,
By faith now walk ye in it.
Write your plans in pencil and let God have the eraser.

Like for all that would please pray for my Dad, he might have breast cancer and we will know one day next week about it and please pray for me as well going in to had a ankle fusion done March 30 and be down for 3 months.Might change if my Dad does had to have surgery his self, But i know i got the bestest friend around that never leaves me no matter what and JERSUS is his name.
What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Your love, O God, would spare no pain
To conquer death and win;
You sent Your only Son to die
To rescue us from sin.
When you’ve been rescued, you’ll want to rescue others.
